  • The predominate timber located in this area is Cedro, Tornillo, Estoraque and Quinilla.
  • Cedro- Spanish Cedar Common Uses: Veneer, plywood, cabinetry, musical instruments, humidors and boat building.

  • Tornillo-Common Uses: Furniture, turned objects, construction/utility wood, and paper. Despite the trees large size, only occasionally available as lumber.
  • Estoraque-Santos Mahogany-Common Uses: Flooring, furniture, Interior trim, Turnery, Railroad ties.
  • Quinilla-Bulletwood-Very hard, strong and tough wood-Common Uses: Billiard and violin cues, turnings, furniture, flooring.
